About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad you have chosen to get to know me better. I’m happy to share with you a little about my practice and myself, and I look forward to caring for you as your physician.

Biography

I was born and raised in Southern California. I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA (go Bruins!), where I majored in English literature. While I was in college, I volunteered on a medical team in Mexico and was inspired by the unique role doctors play in people’s lives. Soon, I decided I wanted to become a doctor myself. I went to medical school at UC Irvine and did my residency in family medicine at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. One of my passions is international medicine. In my free time, I've traveled to Mexico, rural parts of China, and the urban slums in the Philippines to provide medical care to people who otherwise would not have access to it. I hope to continue to do more of this in the future. I became a physician because I wanted to be able to build relationships with people, take care of their needs, and improve their quality of life. What I love most about family medicine is that I’m able to take care of the whole family—from babies to adults. It’s a privilege for me to build a relationship with you and to partner with you to keep you healthy.

How I thrive

I take care of myself by making time to do the things I love, including spending time with my husband, my two sons, and our friends, cooking and eating good food, snowboarding, hiking, dancing, and traveling. I also stay active by serving in my church and community.
