About Me

As children of immigrants, my siblings and I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. I loved growing up in such an interesting and colorful city. I graduated from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) and Louisiana Medical School consecutively. I finally left the banks of the Mississippi River when I moved to Seattle, Washington. This was my introduction to the Pacific Northwest and its beauty. I knew I'd love to settle in this region eventually. I am certified as a Diplomat with the American Board of Internal Medicine, having practiced in this field for more than 20 years.

About my practice

The advance of technology in the past several decades has caused an evolution of the patient-clinician relationship. I have found that ready access via the internet to medical knowledge and treatment options empowers my clients to develop their own informed health opinions and decisions. I welcome this change of pace. At the same time, I strongly believe in the role of the clinician to safeguard the health of the patient amidst the storm of misinformation available on the internet. I feel that I have the education and experience to guide a patient to their best health!

How I thrive

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends here in Portland. I enjoy yoga and meditation classes and keeping active.
