About Me

I was born in Richmond, Va., but have had the pleasure of living in several different states including Florida, Colorado, Ohio, Georgia and Tennessee. After completing my undergraduate degree in Virginia, I returned to Georgia to complete all my medical training, including a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders. I joined Kaiser Permanente following my fellowship. My desire to become a physician was not based on a single role model or a single event, but rather a gradual progression as my interest continued to grow in human anatomy. As a medical student, I found I had a strong affinity towards patients with neurological disorders, leading me to pursue a career in neurology. I enjoy having a job that affords me the opportunity to interact, educate and help solve people's problems.

About my practice

I am board certified in general neurology and completed a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders. I see a wide range of neurological disorders including (but not limited to) strokes, migraines, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, myasthenia gravis, myopathy and neuropathy. I believe good rapport, disease education and working together on an appropriate treatment plan are all important aspects of a good doctor-patient relationship.

How I thrive

I strongly believe in living life to the fullest and enjoying new experiences. I love traveling internationally and immersing myself in other cultures, whether it be for a week or for several months. I spend a lot of time with my friends and family exploring new restaurants, plays, concerts, festivals and all the wonderful entertainment Atlanta offers. Keeping both my body and mind healthy are essential to me so I stay active in the gym.
