About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work with the excellent colleagues and wonderful members here at Kaiser Permanente. I look forward to working with you to achieve optimal wellness.

Biography

I am a first-generation immigrant from South Korea. My family and I moved to the United States when I was just five years old. My parents instilled in me the value of education and service to others, so my dream of being a physician started at a young age. I grew up in the Bay Area and attended Loma Linda University Medical School, where I learned the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection in treating the whole person.

About my practice

I base my practice on the principles of compassion and knowledge. True compassion comes from the ability to sympathize, along with the knowledge to alleviate pain and suffering. I seek out conferences, articles, lectures, and books for the latest mental health treatments to help me provide the best care possible for our members. My interests are in preventive care, improving relationships, women's health issues, and psychopharmacology.

How I thrive

I believe in living life with gratitude, intentionality, and joy. I value good nutrition, plenty of sleep, and loving relationships, especially with my awesome husband and our two amazing children. I enjoy serving others through mission trips, community service, and active church involvement, especially with the youth.
