About Me

Thank you for visiting my Web page. I am happy to introduce myself, and help you and your family with any pediatric cardiology needs.

I am a native Californian who grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. I attended college at USC, went to medical school at UC San Diego, and did all of my pediatric and pediatric cardiology training in the Los Angeles area. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1991, and have been the chief of the Pediatrics Department since January 2007.

About my practice

My practice is limited to infants, children, and adolescents with heart disease, and adults with congenital heart disease. I see members in the office by consultation, perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms and treadmill stress tests, and conduct procedures to diagnose and treat heart disease. I also perform and interpret fetal echocardiograms in conjunction with the department of obstetrics and gynecology. Although I see members by consultation only, I am happy to answer any questions about heart disease and to set up a consultation, if necessary. I believe good health care involves an honest, friendly relationship between a patient and doctor, and I try to foster that in my practice by being available and responsive to questions and concerns at all times.

How I thrive

On Saturdays during football season, I can usually be found at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum rooting for the Trojans. I stay in shape by running and reading about healthy eating. I try not to take myself too seriously.
