About Me

I was born in West Virginia and grew up in Arizona. I earned my undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Princeton University. During medical school at Vanderbilt University, I found myself drawn to the incredible field of gynecologic oncology, where I could combine my passion for women’s health with my background in molecular biology. After finishing residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, I completed my gynecologic oncology training at the combined UCLA/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fellowship program.

About my practice

As a gynecologic oncologist, I strive to provide comprehensive, individualized care for my patients with cancers that arise from the ovary, fallopian tube, uterus, cervix, vulva, or vagina. I have a broad range of surgical experience ranging from minimally invasive surgery (using a traditional laparoscopic or a robotic approach) to radical tumor debulking surgery. As part of providing personalized care for my patients, I am interested in molecular profiling of tumors to identify candidates for targeted therapies or clinical trials. The core of my practice philosophy is to use open communication and patient education to empower women to choose the best individualized treatment plan. I have the privilege of partnering with an exceptional team to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and support for our patients.

How I thrive

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Having previously trained as a ballet dancer and a classical violinist, I am an avid fan of the arts. I also enjoy exploring the great outdoors, reading, traveling, and sampling different cuisines.
