About Me

Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

My first year practicing was spent as a trauma surgeon at Harbor-UCLA. Now I’m happily treating Kaiser Permanente members and offering high-quality care. I’m from Newport Beach, where I grew up surfing and skateboarding. I was in college with a fine arts major when I made the decision to become a physician. I just didn't feel that being an artist was the path I was meant to be on, and I wanted to do something that allowed me to take care of people. I believe that I’m not your typical physician, and I like to think that most of the members I take care of would agree. I want to be your friend as well as your physician, and I am completely committed to providing care to each member as if he or she were my own family.

About my practice

I believe that my personality helps make members and, most importantly, their families trust me. I don’t sugarcoat things. I’m a straight shooter and I believe that members deserve to be "in the know" at all times. My specialty at Kaiser Permanente Riverside is dealing with complex abdominal wall reconstruction. I work to help people who have had several hernia repairs, giant hernias, infected mesh, or pretty much any other challenging surgery dealing with the abdominal wall. This is what I love to do, and it’s what I’m best at.

How I thrive

I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we have three sons. My family is my entire life outside of work. I’m an avid marathon runner as well as a surfer, skateboarder, and artist. I also play guitar and drums, and have a huge interest in music and literature. This life has so much to offer, but sadly I feel there isn’t enough time for any of us to enjoy it all. As long as I enjoy my work, the sacrifice is worth it. I believe that you’ll be happy with me as your physician, assuming you’re willing to look past my surfer/skateboarder appearance
