About Me

Hello! Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

Since my childhood in the Czech Republic, I’ve always been interested in biology. That led me to my decision to go to medical school. After completing medical school, I decided to specialize in pathology. I completed my residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology, and a cytopathology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After accepting a position as a pathologist at Kaiser Permanente, I settled with my family in Southern California. I’m very happy to be part of the pathology department at Kaiser Permanente, and I’m also happy to be living in Southern California. I’m very fortunate to have supportive coworkers at work and a wonderful family at home.

About my practice

I’m very proud to be part of Kaiser Permanente and member of our pathology department. I always try to provide high-quality care and to exceed members’ expectations. As a pathologist, I spend most of my time managing the laboratory, examining tissue samples under the microscope, or providing immediate diagnostic information during surgical or radiological procedures, using frozen tissue samples or aspiration smears. We have several highly knowledgeable pathologists in our department specializing in different areas of pathology, as well as hard working assistants who provide all the necessary help and support. We’re always willing to help each other. I’m very happy to work in such a friendly, respectful environment. Our department provides tissue diagnostic information to our clinical colleagues who use it for important treatment decisions.

How I thrive

I believe it’s important to balance one's busy professional life with exercise and other physical and cultural activities. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, walking on the beach, and swimming. I attend cultural events with my family and friends. I also like cooking and traveling. During winter, I often go skiing in the mountains with my family.
