About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.

Biography

After growing up in a small town in Iowa, I went to college in Connecticut at Wesleyan University. I lived and worked at a nonprofit agency in New York City for a few years, met my husband, and then moved him and our dogs back to Iowa for medical school. After I completed my residency training in head and neck surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, we were tired of the cold winters and humid summers. I sought advanced training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at UC Davis. After falling in love with the California people and weather, we were thrilled when we were able to move to Los Angeles and join Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

I am double board certified in head and neck surgery through the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. My surgical specialties include facial plastic surgery, nasal surgery, facial reconstruction following skin cancer removal and trauma, facial paralysis, and facial feminization surgery.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I make it a priority to spend quality time with my husband, our 2 boys, and our dog. We enjoy taking full advantage of all the wonderful opportunities to ski, hike, swim, and play outside in beautiful Southern California.
