About Me

I am a native of New York but have spent equal parts of my life in California and Michigan. My wife and I are raising 2 young daughters and recently brought our family to Oregon after falling in love with its natural beauty and culture. I started out my medical career as a pediatrician but found that it was not my calling. Starting over and completing a second training in anesthesiology wasn't easy, but it was one of the best decisions in my life because now I love what I do.

About my practice

I am a full-time general anesthesiologist, with a focus in pediatric anesthesiology and peri-operative echocardiography. My professional philosophy is based on patient-centered care, in which the aim is to provide care that is respectful of and responsive to each individual member's preferences and needs, and ensure that patient values guide all clinical decisions. Surgery can be one of the most frightening and stressful events in life. The most challenging and important role that I play as an anesthesiologist is gaining a patient's trust in the brief amount of time we spend together. I feel lucky to work among a group of physicians who continually strive to provide and improve our members’ care.

How I thrive

Family and life balance are both key to my happiness. I thrive most taking part in experiences that involve physical activity or intellectual and cultural stimulation. As a family we love the outdoors and try to travel as much as possible. In the limited free time that I have for myself, I enjoy golfing and making things with my hands.
