About Me

Welcome to my Web page! I hope this page finds you in good health and that you find it useful for getting to know me. While I was a resident at USC, I was fortunate to spend time training at Kaiser Permanente in Harbor City. I noticed the Kaiser Permanente values and knew immediately that I wanted to be part of this organization. I feel I have the support and freedom to provide high-quality care to members. I wholeheartedly believe in our values and mission statement and am proud to be part of this medical group.

Biography

I was born in Iran and completed my medical school in Shiraz (Pahlavi) University in Iran (one of the most prestigious universities in Middle East). It was there where my interest in obstetrics and gynecology initially began. After finishing medical school, my passion to practice advanced medicine and learn the most up-to-date surgical techniques led me to the United States. Upon immigrating to the America, I had the opportunity to work at Stanford University School of Medicine on research projects. Meanwhile, I observed numerous advanced laparoscopic surgeries and attended postgraduate training programs as well as hands-on training workshops. I then started my OB/GYN internship at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield in 2001. At the end of an outstanding year, I was elected “Intern of the Year” by the department. However, to maximize my learning and get more exposure to complicated cases, I transferred to USC to finish the remaining 3 years of residency. This was my golden opportunity to adapt to advanced medical technology as well as face new challenges almost daily, which made me confident in taking care of more complicated and more complex surgical cases.

About my practice

My main interest is the field of uro-gynecology (prolapse, incontinence, pelvic reconstructive surgeries), I enjoy practicing general OB/GYN as well. I am constantly looking for opportunities to improve and provide better care to members of the Kaiser Permanente family. I had the opportunity to serve as the chief of the department of OB/GYN in Kern County in 2008. I was very fortunate to be able to help make lives better in many ways and get a deeper understanding of the challenges. At the end of 6 wonderful years, the opportunity of transferring to beautiful Ventura was given. I immediately accepted and transferred to Ventura in 2015. I get great satisfaction from improving the quality of life of members. My role may be as simple as reassuring and encouraging you to eat healthy and exercise more. Or, in times of crisis, I will use all available resources to help you with medical or surgical options that are right for you. I am board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery as well, which helps me to continue to provide high-quality care to members. This allows me to achieve my goals and fulfill my obligation to society, the medical profession, as well as myself.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I have been happily married for more than 25 years and feel blessed with my lovely wife and 2 beautiful daughters. We love going to the beach, swimming, traveling, meeting up with friends, and watching movies.
