About Me

Thank you for taking the time to view my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I am board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, and I love working with patients of all ages. I am very appreciative of the opportunity to care for the health of you and your family, and I am truly honored to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family.

Biography

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and always knew I wanted to become a physician. After attending Stanford University, I went to the University of Arizona for medical school. I completed my medical residency at UC San Diego, at which point, my wife and I decided that we would like to stay in San Diego permanently. I have been in San Diego since 2001 and have thoroughly enjoyed living here and practicing medicine in this beautiful city. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, I practiced at a rural health clinic in Ramona, caring for and serving as an advocate for the underserved population. In addition, I was on the faculty at UC San Diego, where I taught and trained new physicians. I am currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American College of Physicians. Also, I have been active in a variety of community health projects, including Reach Out and Read and the Mia Risa Foundation.
