Dónde ejerzo mi práctica médica
Acerca de mí
I grew up in Minnesota and graduated magna cum laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, and as a collegiate athlete (soccer and track) my personal experience with foot and ankle pathology sparked my interest in podiatry. I received my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University — College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. I did my residency training in Portland at Legacy Health and Kaiser Permanente and served as a chief resident during my third year of training. I advanced my clinical and surgical training with the completion of a Reconstruction and Rearfoot and Ankle Fellowship at Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey in Manasquan, New Jersey. Now, my husband and I are thrilled to be in the Pacific Northwest once again, to rejoin the community that captured our hearts during residency.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I understand that foot or ankle pain can have a significant overall impact on a patient. In my practice, I focus on total wellness and educating patients to allow them to play active roles in their recovery. My residency training gave me hands-on experience in all aspects of foot and ankle pathology. As a chief resident, I served as a leader, listener, creator, and communicator. I have continued to utilize these skills to help patients of all ages stay active. My fellowship training has given me advanced surgical exposure to reconstructive foot and ankle procedures and allowed me to develop a special interest in trauma, sports medicine, and arthroscopy.
Cómo vivo bien
My husband and I live a healthy, active lifestyle, filled with travel, hiking, and good food. We enjoy spending time with family at our lake home in Minnesota, attending sporting events, and spending an afternoon at the dog park with our Labradoodle. I am passionate about running and enjoy daily morning runs through Portland. Also toward the top of my list: spending time outside, exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
