Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in Peru. I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to come to this wonderful country. I met my husband several years ago in California and we have a beautiful little girl who we love watching grow. Before joining Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii I served as a chief resident at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, where I enjoyed teaching medical students and residents, doing research, and learning more about pediatrics. Teaching remains an interest of mine.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
Since my early years in medical school, I knew that I wanted to be a pediatrician. I really love talking to and playing with children – their smiles are priceless. Being around my patients brings me so much joy. It is an absolute honor for me to take care of our members’ children as if they were my own. To me, prevention is the most important part in keeping our kids happy and well. As such, I believe home safety is just as important as fixing a broken arm and I believe that vaccines are better than having ill children in the hospital. The collective emphasis that the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group has on prevention resonates with my beliefs and makes my work day extremely pleasant. I also appreciate our coordinated care model and the specialized skills my colleagues offer. It is wonderful to have such great resources at hand, which further enables me to provide the best care I can for my patients.
Cómo vivo bien
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially at the beach. You may find me snorkeling, building grand sand castles with my daughter, or watching the beautiful Hawaii sunsets. I love to dance because it is a fun way to keep my heart pumping, and enjoy taking dance classes with my husband whenever we can!
