Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in Oklahoma and attended Santa Fe High School. I went to the University of Oklahoma for my bachelor’s degree and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for my physician assistant studies. I’m now certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
My husband and I decided to move to Maui a number of years ago when we were searching for a place where we could enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle. We’ve both loved living and working here among warm and friendly people. We hope to stay put for a very long time!
Acerca de mi práctica médica
From an early age I was drawn to children, and to this day I love working with them and their families. I also welcome the challenge of not knowing what urgent care practice will bring each day—as it’s always different! Dividing my time between pediatrics and urgent care fulfills both my emotional and professional needs, and I feel very fortunate to be in this position.
To keep up with the most current medical research and practice recommendations, I read medical journals, attend professional conferences, participate in continuing medical education programs, and consult with my colleagues and supervisors. Also, membership in my two professional organizations, the American Academy of PAs and the American Academy of Pediatrics, gives me access to the latest information on developments in these fields of practice.
Cómo vivo bien
To stay healthy, I always try to eat a well-balanced diet. I also make sure to take the time to exercise regularly and spend quality time with my close friends and family members. I especially like playing tennis, swimming, hiking on Maui’s numerous trails, and camping around the island. Traveling to new places, learning new things, and meeting new people keeps my mind active and gives me a fresh perspective on life.
