Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in New York City, just five blocks from Yankee Stadium. Through example, my parents taught me the value of hard work and of helping others. This, along with a love of science, drew me to the medical profession. I have had a great deal of support from family and teachers along the way, especially my wife who I met when I was an intern. My wife, a computer analyst, is very active as a volunteer in the community and our church, and I am very proud of her for that. I have been blessed with two wonderful sons and have found a great deal of happiness in watching them get older. One of the things in my professional career that I am most proud of is the years spent working in a migrant clinic in Florida with the United States Public Health Service. While there, Manatee County named a day in honor of me for the service I provided the clinic and the community.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I have been an obstetrician and gynecologist since completing my residency in 1986. While at Georgetown University School of Medicine, I realized that specializing in Ob/Gyn would lead to a challenging and interesting career. I am dedicated to keeping up with the latest developments in medical knowledge and enjoy continuing my medical education. In practicing medicine, I find it very important to be able to sit and listen to our members and get to know them. I also like to include them in the decision making process and to explain medical terms in everyday language.
Cómo vivo bien
Our family is very athletic, and we enjoy spending time golfing and playing tennis. I golf with my youngest son, who is rapidly getting better than me, and play tennis with my wife, who has always been better than me! We also enjoy kayaking and jogging. I find that just spending time with our family is relaxing and fun. I like old movies, especially in black and white as the photography brings out many details that color does not. I also enjoy reading history, especially United States history. A large amount of my time is spent volunteering in various community activities such as the Boy Scouts of America and Special Olympics. I also volunteer at our church.
