Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in Karachi, one of the lively metropolitan cities of Pakistan. After completing college, my desire to serve led me to choose medicine as my profession. I attended medical school at one of the prestigious colleges of Pakistan, Dow Medical College. At that time, my thirst for learning medicine and my passion to become a physician grew even more. I then moved to the U.S. to pursue my medical career. Before moving to Georgia, I lived in many different states including New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas. I chose family medicine as my specialty due to its diversity, and I completed my family medicine residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. As compared to other fields in medicine, family medicine allows me to treat diseases of the entire body. I enjoy treating patients from different backgrounds, races, ethnicities and genders. My goal is to build strong, trusting relationships with our members.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I always dreamed of an outpatient practice where I could give high-quality health care services to my patients, just like I expect for me and my family. Therefore, I treat my patients as if they are my family members. I consider my patients' social, physical and spiritual needs, and then we make a shared medical decision together. I like to stay connected with our members through phone, mail and electronic messaging through KP.org. All these communications are made easy with the help of the Kaiser Permanente health system. The health care system at Kaiser Permanente is very efficient and advanced, and our staff is very professional and supportive. I love how Kaiser Permanente has helped me fulfill my dream of working at the ideal outpatient practice. My practice is very diverse, as it includes, but is not limited to: preventive medicine, acute and chronic health issue management, women's health, joint injections and minor laceration repair.
Cómo vivo bien
I am inspired by Kaiser Permanente's health philosophy of "Mind, Body and Spirit," and this is what I try to practice in my life. I do this by using my time wisely for myself and for others. I value time, and I always strive to get the most out of life, whatever I do. After work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. On weekends, I volunteer in a free clinic to help communities in need. When my husband and I have free time, we like to travel, visit family, explore new places, shop, cook and play games.
