Acerca de mí
I grew up in Minneapolis and am a Midwesterner at heart. I lived and practiced home hospice in London in 1982-1983, and then moved to Atlanta. I love the physical beauty of the Southeast and the pride and culture of the region.I chose to practice medicine because of my fascination with the wonder and complexity of the human body, paired with the opportunity to help others.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I approach medicine as a primary care physician and I advocate for, listen to and support our members and their families through a sometimes confusing medical journey. I value prevention, good communication and being proactive. I study the medical literature continuously and attend conferences regularly to enhance my skills.I am board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics, and I am working toward board certification in hospice and palliative care medicine. These interests are fostered by the exposure to, and examples of, dear family members and patients. I always feel that I receive much more than I give and am grateful for the privilege of being a physician.
Cómo vivo bien
I thrive by recharging my energy with varied physical exercise, reading, humor and the enjoyment of my family and friends. I volunteer with a homeless clinic, Special Olympics, Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and in my neighborhood. I love to listen to live music, especially blues and jazz, but also opera and classical. I can spend hours in an art museum and love to learn new things and rediscover the old.Life is precious and fleeting, as I have learned from the examples of my patients and family, and I intend to enjoy each second to the fullest!
