Acerca de mí
I am originally from Kansas and have degrees from the two large state universities – I am a Kansas State Wildcat and a University of Kansas Jayhawk. I am proud to say I have adult twin sons, one of which is serving our country overseas. Both my husband and I have served in the military, and I worked with active duty and retired military families in Army hospital settings. My highest rank was lieutenant colonel in the Army Medical Corps.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I have been blessed to be with Kaiser Permanente for 20 years, and I hope for many more. I am now seeing many patients ranging in ages from infancy to young adult. Most of my time is dedicated to outpatient management of ambulatory pediatric care, but I also get to enjoy managing newborns in the hospital.Over the past 20 years, I have been witness to the commitment of Kaiser Permanente medical physicians and our medical staff providing high-quality health care to our members. My goal in practice is to enable parents to take an active role in their child's health care and give them confidence to learn simple techniques for this care. Helping parents become prepared and anticipate their child’s developmental needs is part of my practice. I enjoy the relaxed nature of my relationship with my patients and their parents.

When dealing with stressful times, I have found exercise to be a great way to cope with life’s stressors. Although I admit my success in this endeavor is in baby steps. I would like my patients to know that when I encourage them to exercise, I am struggling with them to do the same and trying to lead by example.I also enjoy taking cruises and traveling. There are many more places to see and cultures for me to visit. My dream is to visit ancient Egypt and China. I do most of my unwinding in Florida monthly and often return renewed.I founded and sponsor a college scholarship in my mother's name through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. This is homage to my mother because she encouraged me to attain my academic and professional heights. I hope to pass along that same support to the next generation.
