Acerca de mí
Originally from San Diego, I knew in elementary school I wanted to be a doctor. In college, along with the sciences, I studied anthropology as I have always been fascinated by other cultures and wanted to work overseas. During residency at Brown University, I had the opportunity to work in Kenya, India and Haiti, as well as with refugees in Rhode Island. Afterwards, I moved to Botswana to help train medical students and residents, and I focused on patients living with HIV and tuberculosis. A position at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention initially brought me to Atlanta and now I am happily ensconced here with my husband and two little boys.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. I enjoy treating a diverse group of patients across the age spectrum and from many different backgrounds. I have a special interest in supporting new mothers with infants and toddlers, caring for adolescents and working with families coping with elder care and end-of-life issues. Medically, my interests lie in keeping people healthy with preventive care, infectious diseases, travel medicine, refugee health and ensuring all patients receive evidence-based care and treatment.
Cómo vivo bien
My family is the focus of my free time and I love exploring new places with them. My rejuvenating solitary pursuits are yoga, biking, baking, and ceramics - I hope to have more time for these in the future!
