Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
Idioma que hablo:
Sí, acepto pacientes nuevos. Es posible que sea necesaria una remisión.
I was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in the city and Maryland suburbs. I received all of my degrees - bachelor, doctorate and medical - from the University of Maryland. After completing my surgical training in Virginia, I was in the military for several years and served in the Middle East during Desert Storm. I joined Kaiser Permanente in Georgia and have been in the Atlanta area since.
During my graduate school studies, I was part of a neuromolecular biology laboratory. It was then I decided to become a physician and possibly pursue a career in neurosurgery. However, it was general surgery that truly caught my eye, and I am very happy with that decision.
When I first joined Kaiser Permanente of Georgia, I was a member of our general surgery practice and cared for members with a wide range of conditions. I am now part of the Georgia Region's Breast Care Center team and have focused my practice on the management of breast disease, particularly breast cancer.
The Breast Care Center team is a cohesive group designed to quicky and efficiently diagnose and treat women with breast concerns. Our services are continually expanding and growing such that we offer a full range of image guided biopsies, surgical expertise and emotional support. I honestly believe that we are making a positive impact in breast care for our members.
When my family first moved to the Atlanta area, we had two small children. During those years and since, I have spent as much time as I could with my children by biking, hiking, swimming and attending their many activities.
I enjoy a good game of golf with my colleagues and friends - perhaps not a "good" game of golf, but a game of golf nonetheless. I also enjoy reading and doing crossword and sudoku puzzles.
