Acerca de mí
While I am a Nebraska "Cornhusker" through and through, I was fortunate to meet a wonderful woman from Atlanta, now my my wife, who brought me to the South. I am lucky to be able to live and practice medicine in Atlanta and especially at Kaiser Permanente. After 21 years in medicine at Piedmont Hospital, where I met many wonderful Kaiser Permanente members, I joined Kaiser Permanente in October 2008.I wanted to be a physician since I was 8 years old, and I hope to practice until I am 80 years old!
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I love what I do as a radiologist at Kaiser Permanente. I trained as an interventional radiologist, which is a radiologist who uses radiology imaging as a guide to perform minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies and angioplasties. I also practice general radiology, which includes interpretation of X-rays, Magnetic Resource Imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (commonly called CT or CAT scans). At Kaiser Permanente, we have a full range of radiology capabilities and radiology specialists. We are constantly changing and improving as technology changes and improves. My practice also includes administrative duties, which is a nice complement to my clinical responsibilities.
Cómo vivo bien
Outside of work, I belong to a motorcycle group, and I try to ride as often as I can in the North Georgia mountains. Exercise is a large part of my daily routine, and I love spending time with my family, including my wife and three grown kids. Staying involved in community service is also an important part of my life.
