Acerca de mí
I was born into a close-knit family in Concord, Fla., headed by our patriarch, my grandfather. At a young age, I was taught, "Where you come from does not determine where you can go." My interest in math and science, encouragement from my family and community, and the opportunity to nurse a stray kitten (found by one of my sixth grade classmates) back to health led me to becoming a physician.
Before starting my medical education and training, my path led me to graduate school. It was at the Florida A&M University Institute of Public Health that I gained a true appreciation for the role that health education plays in improving health outcomes and overall quality of life.
After years of providing medical care to friends, classmates, former teachers and members of the general community in which I was raised, my husband's job led us to Georgia. I became a member of the Kaiser Permanente team in 2017.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My practice style continues to evolve as I experience more, both professionally and personally, and as health care changes. However, my passion for health education and providing high-quality, evidence-based health care to people of all races and ethnicities, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds has not changed. I am a firm believer in the importance of physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. I pride myself on being a compassionate, knowledgeable advocate for our members' well-being.
