Acerca de mí
I am a native of Buffalo, N.Y., but I have lived in Georgia for a couple of decades. I attended University of Georgia on a track scholarship during my undergraduate years, and I decided to continue at UGA for my master's degree in social work. My care and concern for children led me to earn my doctorate in educational leadership. I worked as a special educator for several years. I have always had a desire and passion for helping others, and in 2010, I opened a private practice so I could give my clients the care and attention they deserved. It is that care, compassion, and drive to do what is best for others that led me to seek a career at Kaiser Permanente.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I have specific training and experience working with children, adolescents, trauma victims, mindfulness and women's issues. I believe each person has the necessary skills within them to work through their specific problem, issue, concern or stressor. I also believe that it is my role to help members develop and utilize those skills to reach their individual therapeutic goals.
Cómo vivo bien
Growing up as a scholar-athlete, exercise has always been a priority in my life. As I age, I have placed a greater emphasis on the connection between mind and body. I continue to have a strong faith and spiritual foundation, but I have added meditation, mindfulness and yoga to my physical activities. I am an avid bowler, I am a member of a local tennis league and I play golf. I also enjoy traveling and cruising. I believe that it is imperative for me to care for myself so I can provide excellent care to our Kaiser Permanente members.
