Acerca de mí
I was born in Baltimore and I spent most of my formative years in Washington, D.C. I am a product of my environment. The diverse experiences offered growing up in the nation's capital have molded and shaped my perspectives on many things. Although not a native, I consider Atlanta my second home since first moving here to attend Oglethorpe University in 1982. I have seen Atlanta grow and evolve. It feels like my life has paralleled Atlanta's growth as now I enjoy exploring new places to see and experience here with my wife (who is a Georgia Peach), two kids, and two dogs!
I consider it an honor and privilege to practice medicine as a family physician. I am fortunate to be doing the kind of work I always hoped to do since attending high school.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am happy to work in a place where your care is at the center of what we do. We practice in a collaborative, team-based environment to ensure you have all the information you need to make healthy decisions for yourself and your family. As a family physician, I see everyone from newborns to senior adults. I prefer to see the entire family whenever possible as your health is often impacted by dynamics and quality of your home life. My philosophy is simple: "You're the expert of you. How can I provide useful information and care to help you live a more abundant, healthy, quality-filled life?" The goal is to meet you where you are and give you the tools to a healthier life. Prevention is also key to help you avoid getting sick in the first place.
I am an avid advocate for leveraging technology and efficiency to help make accessing your health care easier for you. Fortunately, Kaiser Permanente offers you a variety of ways for us to access each other - from telephone visits to video visits and secure electronic messaging. We have the technology and we want to use it to make health care convenient and more effective for you and your family.

I am committed to pursuing a balanced, healthy lifestyle which includes regular exercise 4-5 days per week, a perpetual faith-walk, and reading. I also love listening to all types of music. Spending time with my family rejuvenates me and it is fun to learn new and interesting things from our members. Their perspectives are unique and they teach me something new every day! I watch all forms of sports, especially football and boxing, and I continue to serve proudly in the United States Army Reserve as I have for over 30 years.
