Acerca de mí
I am a Georgia girl through and through. I grew up in the Gwinnett County area until I moved to Athens for my degree in exercise and sports science at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I now call Atlanta my home, as it is where I trained to become a physician assistant at Mercer University and began my career with TSPMG's Orthopedics Department. Ever since I can remember, I have been passionate about medicine, as it combines my interest in anatomy with my passion to help others. I had the unique opportunity as a physician assistant student to spend multiple rotations working alongside Kaiser Permanente providers who inspired me to join the Kaiser Permanente mission and model of care. I am committed to continue to meet the level of excellence in patient care that they have so highly set before me.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
As a physician assistant, I play a collaborative role in the education, treatment and management of a wide variety of orthopedic concerns. Pain and decreased functionality can drastically affect a person's quality of life, and I consider it a privilege to assist members in improving their deficits to regain that quality. I strive to form strong relationships with my patients because I believe shared decision making to be the cornerstone of thorough and effective medical care. I am grateful to work with such a wonderful group of caring providers to accomplish those goals. Teamwork is essential not only amongst colleagues, but also between the patient and provider. I am happy to be on your team.
Cómo vivo bien
I like to spend my free time with my family in North Georgia, being active with my dog, Zoe, and trying out new, fun spots in Atlanta with friends. I am a very relational person and believe life is only as enjoyable as the people you spend it with! Additionally, medical mission trips serve as an outlet for me to exercise my passions for medicine, service, faith and travel all at once. I have been fortunate to travel with various medical relief teams to provide medical care to indigent populations in Peru, Madagascar, Nicaragua and Tanzania where I was able to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and check it off my bucket list! I am also fluent in quoting The Office, my favorite TV show.
