Acerca de mí
I was born in Japan and raised in Toronto, Canada. During my undergraduate years in Nebraska, I went back to Japan to spend a year as a student missionary and to get in touch with my roots. After completing my undergraduate degree, I moved to southern California for my medical school education and then to Dayton, Ohio for my internal medicine residency. Since completing my training, I have lived in southeast Indiana and Buffalo, N.Y. before joining Kaiser Permanente in Atlanta in 1998.
My wife and I have three wonderful children who are growing up too fast! We are soon-to-be empty nesters.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My specialty is general internal medicine. I have a strong interest in cardiovascular health and have had the opportunity to participate in the Cardiovascular Workgroup Committee here at Kaiser Permanente for several years. I believe that we can achieve and maintain good health through a healthy lifestyle, and I try to encourage this with our members as opportunities arise. I try to be available to my patients through office, telephone and video appointments, and also through kp.org messaging. I truly enjoy caring for my patients and pledge to do my best in providing high-quality care and service.
Cómo vivo bien
I enjoy attending, collecting and performing classical and sacred music. I also actively volunteer in a religious youth ministry organization. I direct a string orchestra in my church, as well as play the viola in the "Kawamura String Quartet." Being raised in Canada, I enjoy playing ice and roller hockey. Reading, cooking, fishing, camping and swimming are my relaxing activities.
