Acerca de mí
As a native Atlantan, I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve my hometown community. I earned my undergraduate degree from Yale University, then worked as a journalist for several years before pursuing a career in medicine. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in August 2017, I practiced radiology in Denver, Colorado. My family and I are glad to be home in Georgia.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
While I interpret a wide spectrum of radiological studies and perform various image-guided procedures, I am particularly passionate about breast cancer screening and diagnosis. I chose to specialize in breast imaging because I enjoy interacting with patients and actively participating in their care as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
As a natural outgrowth of my medical practice, I aim to advocate on a larger scale for breast imaging and radiology. I am honored to have been a Councilor of the American College of Radiology and to serve on the American College of Radiology's Practice Parameters Committee on Breast Imaging, which develops national guidelines for breast imaging and interventions. In that role, I closely follow breast cancer research and new and emerging imaging technologies. I also serve on an examination committee of the American Board of Radiology, the certifying body for radiologists in the U.S.
Cómo vivo bien
I keep myself simultaneously grounded and in motion through pilates, running, and hiking. Listening to audiobooks gets me through my commute each day and doing the New York Times crossword gets me to sleep at night. I play the violin and piano, bake pies, and serve as a Cub Scouts den leader.
