Acerca de mí
I was born in Pittsburgh, Penn., but spent many years as a kid traveling around the U.S. with my family, living the RV life! I attended the University of Florida for my undergraduate studies, followed by training at the University of Pittsburgh to become a physician assistant (PA). Prior to joining our general surgery team, I spent time working in orthopedics and pulmonary medicine.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am thrilled to be a member of the Kaiser Permanente General Surgery Department. I take care of our surgical inpatient members, both in the operating room and on the floor. I am a firm believer in a holistic approach to medicine: treating the whole person, not simply a disease process or condition.
Being the daughter of an ER nurse, the medical field has always been a part of my life. I am so happy I pursued the physician assistant path and cannot imagine myself in any other profession. The degree of fulfillment I get from taking care of patients every day is unparalleled.
Cómo vivo bien
Outside the hospital, I love spending time with my family and my two rambunctious cats. I try to live the same active lifestyle I encourage of my patients, and when I am not playing the role of a proud "Cat Mom," you can usually find me at the gym, yoga or the occasional dance class.
I like to cook, however my talent in that realm is limited, so I tend to favor exploring all the fun restaurants Atlanta has to offer. I feel very fortunate to work for an organization that supports a healthy work-life balance by enabling me to do what I love, and give the very best to both my patients and my family. It is a privilege to be part of your health care team.
