I am a native of Georgia and enjoyed a wonderful childhood here. My mom is a registered nurse, and I remember watching how she nurtured and cared for individual patients at the hospital and in the community. That is how I knew that I wanted to help others as well. During my undergraduate years, I found myself inspired by some great professors that steered me toward the social services field. I have had a host of experiences that have enhanced my career as a psychotherapist, and I have never regretted my career choice.I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading and traveling. I had the opportunity to be a foreign exchange student and was able to study in Europe for a summer. This sparked my interest in traveling and seeing other places.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I feel very fortunate to work with a team of highly skilled professionals in the Behavioral Health Department who make high-quality patient care their priority. Our department’s approach fits well with my belief in meeting patients where they are in their stages of life and development. My goal is to empower patients to make healthy decisions and choices that will help facilitate positive outcomes. My years of experience have afforded me roles in administration, program management, psychotherapy (including individual, family and groups) and a host of hands-on community work with a client centered focus. My clinical specialty is working with children, adolescents and adults.

I believe that people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime, and that it is important to live each day fully. I thrive on making positive contacts with others and exchanging ideas, thoughts and feelings. I enjoy going to the gym and exercising, as it allows me time for both promoting healthy living and reflection.
