Acerca de mí
I consider it a privilege and a pleasure to work in the medical field. I grew up in Cobb County and am a graduate of South Cobb High School. I completed my undergraduate training at Emory University and completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. Following this, I attended Georgetown University Medical Center for my residency training in internal medicine and then returned home with my husband to practice medicine.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I work as an internal medicine physician. I am fortunate to work in an excellent department staffed with some outstanding people that make this an enjoyable place to spend my career. Philosophically, my practice is oriented toward educating people to help them make their own decisions about health care. Traditionally, medicine dictated to patients what care they would receive. Patients, given information and options, are in a much better position to determine the care they want, and I am glad to be part of an organization that embraces this theory.
Cómo vivo bien
I take care of my body, mind and spirit. I eat a vegan organic diet and refrain from smoking and alcohol. I practice relaxing, meditation and daily prayer. I catch up with the news on National Public Radio while commuting to and from work, which makes the drive relaxing and pleasant. I volunteer in the community through literacy programs at my children's schools and make regular donations to local animal shelters and MUST Ministries.
