I was born and raised in Long Island, N.Y., and I received my undergraduate and medical education in the Northeast. I knew that I wanted to be a doctor at a young age, and the concept of "healing with my hands" inspired me to become a surgeon. Following my training, I remained in New York as part of a large, multidisciplinary orthopedic surgical group. I eventually made my way to Southern California where I was able to concentrate my practice on traumatic and reconstructive adult and adolescent foot and ankle surgery. In 2011, I moved to Atlanta and joined Kaiser Permanente to become the lead foot and ankle surgeon in a growing department, and to focus my attention on providing attentive, high-quality care for our members. I have always had a team-oriented approach to practicing medicine, and I consider the environment at Kaiser Permanente the best place for me to engage in doing so.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
The practice of foot and ankle surgery is a demanding one, and necessitates meticulous surgical technique, as well as a thorough understanding of lower extremity biomechanics. I believe that the better our members understand the nature and development of their underlying condition, the more likely they are to be active participants in the provision of their care and to return to function and desired activities more expeditiously. I hold the doctor-patient relationship as paramount, and consider my patients' wants and concerns as important as addressing their surgical needs. My lifelong passion for learning and education drive me to keep up with the latest innovative techniques in foot and ankle surgery. The caring, efficient team at Kaiser Permanente helps me provide high-quality care for members with traumatic and sports related foot and ankle injuries, arthritic conditions, congenital and acquired deformities and major diabetic lower extremity problems, amongst others. I am also able to offer the performance of certain procedures using minimally invasive technology, such as arthroscopy, and state-of-the-art care for ankle arthritis including ankle replacement surgery.

I have participated in organized and personal sporting activities since childhood, and I have continued to make exercise a part of my everyday life for health benefits and stress reduction. Weight training and cardio workouts are part of my daily routine, as is keeping up with my kids, and I still relish a good game of golf. Living in California for several years encouraged me to broaden my interest in wine and food, which I continue to enjoy. I also enjoy 70s music and attending professional sporting events with my family. (We remain devout Yankee fans!)
