Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, attended the University of Nebraska for my undergraduate degree, and completed my psychiatry residency training at UNMC/Creighton University. I attended St. George’s University in the Caribbean for medical school and lived in New York City during my two years of clinical study. I loved growing up in Nebraska and am grateful for the Midwest values instilled by my family. I have also had the opportunity to travel to many places throughout the world and enjoy learning about and experiencing new cultures. I came to Denver in 2013 to work with Kaiser Permanente. My wife and I are happy to call Denver home. We are animal lovers and have two dogs and a cat (Walter, Bruce, and Oliver) that always keep us on our toes and make sure that we all get plenty of exercise.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I try to always consider the big picture when providing mental health care for my patients. I utilize an evidence-based, multidisciplinary team approach to provide individualized patient care. I collaborate with other providers and utilize as many treatments as available to help patients to live a healthy and happy life. I believe in the value of psychiatric medications when needed, multifaceted therapy, and forming or strengthening psychosocial supports. I work to provide care that is cost effective for patients and I strive to educate you so you can reach your full potential and take ownership of your health. I believe Kaiser Permanente provides the best medical model for achieving this and provides opportunities for innovation and new ways for providing patient care. I currently provide psychiatric services to adult patients at the Hidden Lake Medical Offices in Westminster.
Como vivo bien
I believe strongly in the ideals and mission of Kaiser Permanente and work to practice what I preach by staying healthy with an active, balanced lifestyle. Some of my hobbies include skiing, fly fishing, checking out the latest restaurants, enjoying live music, catching a movie, following my favorite sports teams, and spending time with family and friends. One of my keys to success in life is finding purpose and I am grateful to have found this as a practicing psychiatrist.
