Kaiser Permanente provider
Idioma que hablo:
Sí, en mi consultorio se aceptan pacientes nuevos. Es posible que sea necesaria una remisión.
I grew up in the desert southwest and came to Colorado to attend UNC in Greeley for my undergraduate degree. I attended the University of Colorado at Denver for an MA in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education, which I completed in 1997. I hold a Licensed Professional Counselor license in the state of Colorado and am a current member of the American Counseling Association.
It is well known that individual clients seeking mental health services vary widely in their response to treatment. I draw from a wide variety of treatment approaches and strategies to help my clients however I primarily use an outcome-informed care model for treatment. First and foremost, outcome-informed care is built on the premise that clients deserve the best care possible. As such, whether the treatment is “working” for them or not should be assessed by their actual treatment outcomes. Outcomes-informed care refers to both the practice and system of providing psychotherapy treatment that is informed by client-reported treatment goals and outcomes. Outcomes are measured on all clients receiving counseling by means of self-report questionnaires administered at the start of each session. My practice is limited to teens and adults 13 years and older.
I work best with clients who are active in their treatment. This includes clients who are willing to practice and persist with new skills and strategies in the context of their daily lives. Many of my former clients who have enjoyed working with me say that I am a great listener, practical, "down to earth", understanding, and empathetic. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients' care. I trust other Kaiser Permanente providers to take excellent care of my patients if I'm not available.
Many mental health professionals “practice what they preach” by actively utilizing the many skills and strategies they provide their clients. I proactively work on reducing my worry, focusing my energy on what I have power and control over and cultivate gratitude and forgiveness. I also make a concerted effort to eating healthy, exercising, and getting a good night’s sleep.
