Acerca de mí
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) – a trauma therapy. I feel privileged to facilitate intensive outpatient therapy groups at KP that help individuals in their darkest moments with anxiety and depression, to find their way back to stability and greater mental health. Too often we feel alone in our mental health struggles – group therapy is a unique opportunity to both give and receive support from others dealing with similar issues. In this interactive forum, we discuss practical ways to manage and prevent crisis. I run a daily IOP group for adults and a multi-family group the meets twice weekly for teen and parents. Mindfulness is emphasized heavily in my practice, as are other skills for better emotional regulation and distress tolerance. I look forward to educating patients on the various concepts and skills to help improve their mental health, self-esteem, relationships and general wellness. I work with a team of therapist and psychiatrist to coordinate my patients' care. I am a Colorado native and enjoyed my time attending Metro State and Regis University. I enjoy my work at KP and am proud of the difference I make in people’s lives. Helping patients overcome the trials and tribulations of life is a particular passion and calling of mine.
