I'm originally from Belarus and consider myself fortunate for growing up in the beautiful state of Colorado. After completing my undergraduate and medical education in Colorado, my wife and I moved to Philadelphia for my residency. We decided to return home so we could be closer to family and to pursue our careers. As a medical student, I served on medical trips in Guatemala and Nepal, which opened my eyes to foreign medical practices and global health. Serving in diverse communities and coming from a family of immigrants has given me an appreciation for the cultural diversity of our country. When it comes to medical practice, I try to implement a biopsychosocial approach because our well-being is multidimensional. I am proud to be a primary care physician in my home state and to give back to the communities that are so important in my life.
I implement a holistic approach to achieving good health and wellness. I believe that modifiable lifestyle factors such as smoking, nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress and others are vital players in our health. I see patients of all ages and with a broad range of medical conditions and concerns. My goal as a primary care physician is to partner with you! I want to help you achieve wellness and meaning in your life. I love learning about how my patients view their health and what is important. I believe the doctor-patient relationship can be one of the most powerful connections that we can achieve. We all have different goals for our health. Setting small, realistic and educated goals is crucial when it comes to our health improvement. By partnering, I believe you and I can achieve the best possible outcome for your well-being. As a family doctor, one of my roles is to empower you to meet those goals. Kaiser Permanente’s extensive network and technological tools are valuable pieces that will help achieve your health goals.
I love being active and exploring, as this world has an abundance of opportunity. Being back in Colorado is like being on a playground. My wife and I take advantage of hiking in the mountains, and if we are to become true Coloradans, it seems we will need to hike a fourteener sometime soon. In addition to being physically active, I enjoy being artistically creative. I am relearning to play the piano and when time allows I enjoy painting, with surrealism and abstract art being my favorite. Volunteering continues to be a driving force and I hope to integrate this into my career, whether it is medical work with immigrant communities or global health.
